Birl Trade-In Policy & Terms
Thank you for helping to build a more circular, sustainable future. Every Birl trade-in includes a free return label. Please read and accept the terms below before completing your trade-in.
1. Trade-In Window
- Your item(s) must be handed to the carrier within 10 calendar days of the voucher being issued.
- If the parcel is not scanned within this timeframe, Birl may cancel the voucher and recharge the value to your original payment method.
2. Eligibility & Product Exclusions
Only authentic, original-design apparel from the partner brand is eligible for trade-in.
Certain product categories - such as socks or other hygiene-sensitive items may be excluded from trade-in at the partner brand’s discretion. Any such exclusions will be clearly shown during the online trade-in flow.
Birl cannot accept:
- Counterfeit or pirated merchandise.
- Items that have been customised, altered, cut or cropped.
- Items returned in a condition that differs from that declared in the online trade-in flow (e.g. excessive wear, heavy odour, stains etc).
Non-compliant items will be returned to you or, at Birl’s discretion, the voucher value may be cancelled and recharged, and a processing fee charged.
3. Condition Requirements
- Items must be clean and dry (freshly laundered).
- Pack the item securely so it reaches us in the same condition it leaves you.
4. Return Process
- Accept credit & label – after selecting your item and confirming these terms, click “Get my credit”. A single-use voucher code and a pre-paid return label will be emailed to you.
- Pack & ship – place the item in suitable packaging and drop it at a designated carrier location.
- Confirmation – we will email you once your parcel is received. If you do not receive confirmation within 10 days of posting, contact hello@wearebirl.com quoting your order number.

6. Fraud & Abuse
Birl reserves the right to refuse trade-ins, cancel vouchers or recover amounts already credited where we detect or reasonably suspect fraud, misuse or deliberate abuse of this policy.
7. Changes to This Policy
Birl may amend these terms from time to time. The version displayed at the point of trade-in will apply.
